Welcome to the 2008 York County Envirothon
The Envirothon is an interactive, hands-on competition designed to test a student's knowledge of Pennsylvania's natural resources. This standards-based environmental science program emphasizes environmental sensitivity with social, ecological, and economic balance. The goal of the Envirothon is to provide our students with the tools they need to become responsible stewards of York County's agricultural and natural ecosystems.
Senior High Envirothons are held throughout North America and Canada. York County is one of the few places to offer the Envirothon competitions beginning in the third grade.

Our 2008 Envirothon Events
All events are held at the Izaak Walton League in Dallastown - "Official Home of the Envirothon."
April 29th - Senior High E-thon
May 6th - Middle School (6th, 7th & 8th grade) E-thon*
May 7th - 5th & 6th grade E-thon*
May 13th - 3rd & 4th grade E-thon*
2008 COACHES MANUALS
*There are MANY CHANGES to the lower grade Envirothons this year. If you were unable to attend our November 2007 Coaches Meeting, YOU are responsible for learning about these event changes.
Please read your Coaches Manuals carefully and contact the Envirothon Coordinator with any questions.
