Welcome to the York County Envirothon
The Envirothon is an interactive, hands-on competition designed to test a student’s knowledge of these Pennsylvania natural resources: aquatics; current issues; forestry; soils; wildlife. This standards-based environmental science program emphasizes environmental sensitivity with social, ecological, and economic balance. The goal of the Envirothon is to provide our students with the tools they need to become responsible stewards of York County’s agricultural and natural ecosystems.
Senior High Envirothons are held throughout North America and Canada. York County is one of the few places to offer the Envirothon competitions beginning in the third grade.
